Again this summer members of the Zonta Club of Washington supported the work of the Advocacy Project, a Washington-based human rights organization, by following the blogs of the Advocacy
Project’s Fellows for Peace. We worked specifically with six of the Fellows who are based in Washington DC and who spoke at our May meeting:
- Nicole Slezak, working on women’s rights and peacebuilding in Kosovo;
- Janet Rabin, working on women’s rights in Serbia;
- Juliet Hutchings, addressing enslavement of indigenous peoples in Uganda;
- Kristina Rosinsky, helping street children in Kenya; and
- Larissa Hotra and Krystal Sirman, working on issues facing landmine survivors in El Salvador
and Jordan, respectively.
Janet, Juliet, and Krystal came back to the October Dinner and spoke about their experience with their projects overseas.
