Kakenya's Dream.

Kakenya Ntaiya, born in Kenya, came to the United States and engaged in promoting awareness of the issues affecting girls in her community. As the first youth advisor to the United Nations Population Fund, she traveled around the world to speak on the importance of educating girls, particularly as a means to fight the practices of female genital mutilation and child marriage.
Today, she is working to fulfill the promise that she made years ago: to return to her village and give back. Since 2006, she has been working to build a girls' school in Enoosaen so that other young African girls might travel the same path she did- to education, self-realization and leadership. This is her dream. Read about her dream on http://kakenyasdream.org |
