  HOLIDAY CARD HISTORY

It started out as a way for Washington DC Zontians to raise a little money while spreading a little holiday cheer. They decided to donate the money they would have spent on sending Christmas cards to each other to the Zonta Club of Washington DC. They put their names on an inexpensive flyer and sent a big group greeting instead.

From that humble little group greeting grew our most successful and longest-running fundraiser. The annual Zonta Holiday Card raises thousands of dollars every year to improve the status of women, both here in DC as well as those we touch through our international service projects. Our humble little flyer has become a stylish and beautiful card, designed by one of our very own amazingly talented Zontians, and is sent to over 200 Zontians, supporters and friends. We also send it to each of our Gala guests every year to show our willingness to support the goals of Zonta International and work together to make the world a better place for all women.
